“But as for you, be strong and do not give up,
for your work will be rewarded.”

Our CrossFit Mission
At Pike Road CrossFit, our mission is to revolutionize the way people view fitness by creating a loving, encouraging family environment while providing efficient, effective programming paired with individualized nutrition plans to help each athlete reach his or her health goals.
CrossFit includes Olympic weightlifting, calisthenics, gymnastics, sprints, and plyometrics. When you add it all up, you’ll never be disinterested at the gym and your body won’t plateau from repetition.
As they say, CrossFit’s specialty is not specializing. It’s constantly changing, which keeps your mind and body from getting bored.
Crossfit’s definition of fitness includes a wellness program that focuses on constantly varied, functional movements carried out at high intensity.
What does this mean? Rarely will you do the same workout twice unless you are testing certain benchmark workouts to gauge progress. This avoids lengthy plateaus in your health goals while also addressing weaknesses in your training that you may avoid when working out on your own.
The movements we perform translate into everyday life, and are therefore functional movements. Ever do a deadlift? If no, have you ever picked up groceries off the ground or even a toddler? If so, then congrats, you have done a deadlift! Where we come in is perfecting the form to ensure safety and maximize the benefits a proper lift provides. We promise you will never pick up something incorrectly again once you complete our beginners course.
High Intensity is the last ingredient to an effective workout regimen. Our Metabolic Conditioning workouts can last as little as 4 minutes and sometimes up to 30 minutes (rarely). Gone are the days of spending 2 hours on the treadmill to “get in shape”. At PRCF, your heart rate will be elevated during these MetCons which sheds calories and fat but also allows for lean muscle growth.
Often times a gym is just a collection of random people focused on doing their own different exercises. At a CrossFit box, which is what we refer to as our gym, it’s a community.
For starters, CrossFit is about competing against yourself and trying to get healthier everyday. In fact, since the exercises are done in group workouts, other members often encourage you and help you push your boundaries. Even the people who finish last get a round of high-fives for pushing themselves as hard as they can.
Everyone has the same goal in mind: to get in the best shape possible. Because of that, everyone is on the same team and working for the same goals. The camaraderie in CrossFit is part of what makes this exercise experience so unique.
The certified instructors make a huge difference. You didn’t think you were doing these intense workouts on your own, did you? CrossFit instructors are trained not only to teach and motivate but to guide you through the workouts and help modify them around your abilities. We have a collective coaching background of over 30 years experience. If you’ve been thinking about getting a personal trainer, your CrossFit membership has one included.
